Does my MobalPay card work with Google Wallet?
In most scenarios, the answer to this is no.
If you have a Japanese-spec Android, then yes, it will work fine. However, most of our customers have phones that were bought overseas.
If your Android came from another country, it won’t work with the contactless payments system used in Japan (FeLiCa), so even though you could add MobalPay to your Google Wallet account, you won’t be able to use it for contactless payments.
On iPhone, you can add MobalPay to the Google Pay app, but you can’t use Google Pay for contactless payments with iPhone. For iPhone users, you’re best to install the Suica mobile app and add your MobalPay card to that. See Linking to Suica Cards.
