Call & Messaging Applications:
We can confirm that you can continue to use VoIP services for calling / instant messaging applications for messaging and this can be a great way to keep in touch!
This will also help you to avoid incurring additional usage charges for our standard voice calling and SMS text messaging service. Any usage of this type will just be deducted from your high speed data allowance instead.
However, please be advised that certain applications will allow the call to be placed / the message to be sent using the standard voice calling / SMS text messaging service if a cellular data connection or a Wi-Fi network is not available.
If the application you are using includes this as an option, you would need to ensure that this option is disabled (or you may unintentionally incur usage charges for standard phone calls and SMS text messages).
Please note that our SIM card does not support LINE’s age verification service and so when signing up with LINE, please skip this step.
As far as we are aware, the only features that are unavailable when skipping age verification are the ID search and phone number search features. Even if you are unable to use these search functions, you should be able to add your friends via friend addition or QR code. You can also add friends to LINE by synchronizing your phone address book with your LINE address book.
