What is a Pending transaction?
Pending transactions are transactions for which the merchant hasn’t provided us with all the transaction details yet. As such, the transaction amount displayed in your MyAccount may be temporary. In most cases, however, this is the final amount missing the merchant details.
However, in some cases, the final transaction amount, depending on the merchant, may be adjusted for exchange rates or even cancelled by the merchant (see additional notes on reservation transactions). In the case of a cancelled transaction, the transaction fee will be refunded.
For most MobalPay users, these transactions will later change to confirmed.
How long does it take for a transaction to change from Pending to Confirmed?
Pending transactions usually complete within 5-10 business days. When this happens, the transaction will move into the main list of completed transactions and the merchant name will be shown.
Reservation Transactions
Sometimes, merchants make a payment reservation on your card, which will show as a Pending transaction. There are a number of reasons why this might happen.
- A transaction was canceled or interrupted. If it didn’t complete, this Pending payment will disappear after a few days when the transaction cancelation completes.
- The merchant reserved the money to make sure there were sufficient funds to complete the payment. The Pending transaction will be removed when the reservation request expires – or if the merchant cancels it.
