It is a requirement of Japanese law that we must collect identification documents from users of Japan Unlimited SIM cards. We will be unable to activate your service without this!
We make it as easy as possible for you to send us this information and we guarantee that it will be stored securely. The passport is uploaded via our secure portal during the activation request process. Please refer to the SIM Card User Guide for instructions.
Note: If you collect a SIM from one of our official collection points (rather than have the SIM delivered to an address) you will need to present your passport upon pick-up. As your identity will be verified at this stage you will not be requested to upload your ID online.
