Outbound Calls:

When placing an outbound phone call, you will be required to enter a plus symbol (+) followed by the country code (of the country you are calling to) and then you would enter the area code (with the leading zero removed if there is one) followed by the rest of the phone number.

You can enter a plus symbol on most handsets by either pressing and holding the zero on the keypad (until the 0 changes to a + on screen) or by pressing the star / asterisk on the keypad twice in quick succession (until the * changes to a + on screen).

U.S. Phone Numbers (Example 1)

Using our Mobal U.S. lost/stolen number of 212-785-5800 for example (please note that this number should only be called if you wish to report your SIM card as lost/stolen), you would enter a plus symbol (+) followed by the country code for the U.S. (which is the number 1) and then you would enter the standard area code and phone number by dialing: +12127855800

U.K. Phone Numbers (Example 2)

Using our Mobal U.K. lost/stolen number of 01543-426-999 as another example (please note that this number should only be called if you wish to report your SIM card as lost/stolen), you would enter a plus symbol (+) followed by the country code for the U.K. (which is the number 44) and then you would enter the standard area code (with the leading zero removed) and phone number by dialing: +441543426999

Country Codes

Regardless of your physical location (or the location of the phone you are trying to call), the country code used will always be for the home country of the phone number you are trying to call.

If the number you wish to call is a U.S. phone number for example (regardless of whether the person using the phone is in another country), you would always dial +1 followed by the standard area code and phone number.

If you are unable to locate the required country code for the number you wish to call however, please visit the following link to view/download a PDF file containing a list of 200 country codes: Country Code List
