Where can MobalPay NOT\u00a0 be used?<\/b><\/h5>\n
As MobalPay is a prepaid payment card there may be situations when you are not able to use your card. Here are some examples (with some workaround solutions):<\/div>\n
Apple Wallet\/Google Wallet:<\/b><\/h6>\n

Although MobalPay is not compatible with Apple Wallet\/Google Wallet, it can be used with Japanese digital payment apps such as RakutenPay\/ dBarai and Mobile Suica and Mobile Pasmo that specifically require Japanese-issued payment cards to work.<\/p>\n

Recurring Payments:<\/b><\/h6>\n

Although MobalPay does work with subscriptions services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Spotify and can also be used to purchase a Japanese SIM\/eSIM from Mobal (www.mobal.com), there are some merchants who do not allow recurring payments to be made using a prepaid card.<\/p>\n

Highway Tolls\/ETC:<\/b><\/h6>\n

Many payment booths located along Japan’s highway network only accept credit cards (or cash) for toll road payments.<\/p>\n

Gasoline Stands\/Petrol Stations:<\/b><\/h6>\n
Many Japanese gasoline stands do not accept prepaid cards as a form of payment.<\/div>\n
Digital Payment Apps<\/b>:<\/h6>\n

Although MobalPay does work with Japanese digital payment apps such as RakutenPay and dBarai, etc, there are some apps that only work with credit cards issued by the same company.<\/p>\n
