I.D. Requirements:
Due to government restrictions, we are required to collect identification documents from all users of our Japan Voice+Data eSIM service.
This requirement is due to Japanese law, so we are unable to make any exceptions, but we can confirm that any information you provide will be stored securely.
Delivery Option
If you have asked for your eSIM Access Code to be delivered to a physical address, you will receive an email asking you to upload a copy of your I.D. using our secure portal.
This is a simple process and once we have received your I.D. upload, our order team will review the information you have provided and notify you if there are any issues.
Please note that the I.D. requirements will vary depending on the delivery country you have selected (more information will be provided during the checkout process) and the delivery option is not available for all countries.
If you are unable to provide the required form of identification for our delivery option (or the required country is not listed) however, please be advised that we will not be able to ship your order and so you may wish to consider our collection option instead.

Pick-Up Option
Should you decide to pick up your eSIM Access Code from one of our pick-up points, you will only need to present your passport (displaying the same name that you provided for your order) to the representative at the collection point upon arrival along with your order confirmation.
As your identity will be verified at this stage, you will not be asked to upload your I.D. online and so this would allow you to bypass the specific I.D. requirements for our delivery option.
