Your Phone Number:
It is important that you provide your contacts with the correct number to reach you as the dialing procedures can vary depending on their current location / the type of phone number they are calling or texting you from.
For further instructions, please refer to the information below.
Local Calls/Texts
Your contacts that are located in Japan (that also have a Japanese phone number) would call/text you using the normal domestic dialing procedure and so they would not be required to enter the “+81” prefix in front of your phone number.
This +81 prefix can be removed and then replaced with a “0” prefix.
If for example your Mobal phone number was provided to you as +817012345678, your contacts within Japan would simply enter 07012345678 as shown in the example above.
For your contacts that are based outside of Japan, please refer to the next section.
International Calls/Texts
For your contacts that are calling/texting you from an international phone number, they would be required to use the international dialing procedure when placing a call or sending a text to your Mobal phone number.
These contacts would simply enter your full phone number including the +81 prefix (if they are calling/texting from a cell phone) or they would replace the plus symbol with the international dial out code for the country they are calling from (if they are calling from a landline phone).
Please note that the international dial out code will vary depending on the country your contacts are calling from.
To assist you further, we can confirm that the international dial out code for the U.S. is 011 and the international dial out code for most of Europe is 00.
As an example, if your Mobal phone number was 817012345678 then your contacts would dial as follows –
From a cell phone, your international contacts would dial: +817012345678
From a U.S. landline phone, your contacts would dial: 011817012345678
From a U.K. landline phone, your contacts would dial: 00817012345678
