The ‘Japan Unlimited’ voicemail service is enabled by default and so you should not be required to manually activate this feature.

If you would like to disable the voicemail service at any time however, please contact us directly and we will process this request on your behalf.

 

Accessing Voicemail

To access the voicemail service, simply dial 1416 from your device and follow the voice prompts.

Please note that the voice prompts will initially be spoken in Japanese.

After dialing 1416, please follow the steps below to change the voice prompts to English –

  • Press 2 at the first prompt
  • Press 1 at the second prompt
  • Finally, press 2 to switch the prompts to English

 

Voicemail Notifications

When a voicemail message has been left for you, you will usually receive a text message from the number: 1414.

If your handset does not support Japanese, please be advised that the contents of the message may not be displayed correctly. However, you can still follow the prompts above to retrieve the message.

 

Voicemail Charges

We can confirm that there are no initial charges when a voicemail message has been left for you.

Should you decide to retrieve the message however (by dialing 1416), please be advised that you will be charged the standard call rate that is applied for making an outbound domestic call.
