Every pre paid SIM has an expiry date depending on the type of pre paid package purchased. The clock starts ticking as soon as the SIM is activated.
If you top up your SIM before your pre paid package expiry date, any remaining minutes will be rolled over and included in your new package.
If you do not top up before your pre paid package expiry date, you will lose any unused minutes and you will not be able to use your SIM until you add another package. No refunds can be given for any lost minutes.
Please note that once your SIM card has expired, either by using up all of your minutes or by the passing of the expiry date (whichever comes first), you have 90 days in which to add more minutes. If you do not purchase another package within this 90 day period, your SIM card will be permanently deactivated and will no longer work. If you wish your service to continue, you will need to buy a new SIM card and you will be issued with a new telephone number upon activation.
You can check your pre paid balance at any time by dialing 2888 from your Iridium phone (free of charge) or by sending a blank SMS to 2888.
