The voicemail service is enabled by default so you do not need to request for it be activated. If you would like to disable voicemail you will need to contact us to request for this to be processed.

Accessing Voicemail

To access voicemail simply dial 1416 from your SIM and follow the voice prompts.

Note: The prompts will initially be spoken in Japanese. After dialing 1416, press “2” at the first prompt, followed by “1” at the next prompt, finally press “2” to switch to English guidance (or “1” if you wanted to revert back to Japanese guidance!)

Notification of a New Voicemail Message

When you get a new voicemail message, you will receive a text message from 1414. If your handset does not support Japanese, this message content may not display properly – You can still follow the steps above for accessing voicemail.

Charges for Voicemail

There is no initial charge when a voicemail message is deposited to your number, however, accessing voicemail (to listen or delete the message, etc) is chargeable as an outgoing domestic call within Japan.
