We often get asked how much data Google Maps uses and it’s a difficult answer because it depends on quite a lot of factors.

When using Google Maps while driving however, you will usually find that this application uses no more than 10MB per hour.

If you will not have access to cellular data for any reason or you want to minimise your usage, you can also download maps and navigation instructions (while still connected to the internet) so that they will work offline.
