Enabling Voicemail

The voicemail service is enabled by default so you do not need to request for it be activated.

If your phone cannot be reached (because it is switched off, out of coverage, or busy on another call) then your incoming calls will be forwarded to the Iridium Voicemail Service. The caller may be prompted to re-enter your Iridium phone number. If so, they must enter just the 12 digits (8816 ???? ????)

Accessing Voicemail

To access your voicemail simply dial your own number (8816 ???? ????) from the Satellite Phone and follow the voice prompts.

Note: The default password is the last 4 digits of your Iridium Phone Number. For rentals, we do not recommend that you change this, but if you do then please ensure you change it back before returning the phone.

Notification of a New Voicemail Message

When someone leaves you a voicemail message, you will receive a text message notification – To retrieve your voicemail message, simply follow the steps above for accessing voicemail.

Charges for Voicemail

If somebody calls your number direct and deposits a voicemail message for you there is not an initial charge for this, however, accessing voicemail (to listen or delete the message, etc) is chargeable as an outgoing call.
